Keep Creating

New card we will be making at Cards for Hero's workshop, I have more to post but the Internet is acting crazy today and last night so this will have to do for now, if you haven't signed up yet for cards for Hero's day let me know soon, I need to get all the class kits ready, can't attend? Consider taking a couple of hours on Veteran's day this year and make a few cards from home to send into this wonderful cause, our troops do so much for us the least we can do is give them a chance to send a Birthday, Anniversary, miss you, thinking of you and anything you can think of card to stay in contact with their families.

Last one

This is the last from the weekend, I really do have to get ready for my Halloween Mystery party tonight!! Here is the cover for my office binder, I have been wanting to get this done for weeks now and finally got the time in Atlanta, the photo are of my Grandparents on their Wedding day back in the 1800's, they are one of the many reasons I do what I do in my life and my business so I wanted them to be in my main work binder. One of the many beauties of working my business from home is I can personalize all my office supplies and write it off on our taxes at the end of the year!! Can't get that in the corporate world!!

Even More

Here are the pages we created in Casey's class on Saturday, wish my photo's were better they don't do justice to the pages, we did lots of fun techniques, braying, glimmer mist HOMEMADE, much cheaper, stamping and of course a little prisma glittering.

Thursday fun

Got all of my Halloween goddie bags done today, just need to finish stamping a few for Tyler's class, we also went to see Spiderman at Chick a fillet this afternoon, it was super Hero day, all the kids were dressed up as super hero's except Tyler, He is Nemo this year. He loved his costume until he saw what the other kids were wearing, on the way home he had to call his Daddy and tell him he wanted a super hero costume, he doesn't want to be a girl fish, so funny, Heather is gonna have to give up shopping for the boy, it is way past time to try for a little girl.

Stamp set used D1319, the bags turned out really cute, I made them big enough to hold healthy snack for the little ones

Getting ready for Halloween

I have had many of you ask me about my scrapbook Halloween tree, this isn't a great photo and I think I better get the ironing board out and give the table runner a little pressing. Here is how to recreate this baby, take a clay pot and paint with glossy acrylic paint, then paint on whatever spooky design you want, the Cricut has lots of great patterns! Find some branches at Michael's or in your own backyard, spray paint them black then add a little Prisma glitter to the branches after it is tacky dry. You can mount it in the pot two ways, use plaster paris or the spray in insulation, both will take overnight to dry. Cut out shapes from chipboard or cardboard, cover with scrapbook paper, then stickle the edges, all you need to do now is add you Halloween photo's I have photo's from back when my girls were babies and on up to now with Tyler.

Create each day in October

I really have created each day I just haven't had time to download and post photo's, so here is a very quick review from the past few days!! I have been playing around with our new Childhood Portrait set D1373, have lots more idea's to do with this set and will hopefully get more done tomorrow. Tyler and I also made a Halloween tee shirt today using his his hand prints and some googly eyes, he loves to do crafts and is so proud of his new shirt! We are off to Target for more popcorn, his favorite snack and new slippers, looks like the weather is not going to warm up any time soon.

Tomato Cage Christmas card holder

Heather gave me a picture from a magazine this morning of a Christmas card holder made from a tomato cage, I jazzed it up a bit and here is what I came up with, very inexpensive and not hard to make, pulled the tomato cage right out of the garden and went to work. This just might turn out to be a class.

Grace Workshop on the Go

As promised I have finally finished the Grace workshop! I love the papers in Grace and know I will be using it often!
The kit includes; Level 2 paper pack, 15 piece acylix stamp set, rustic anchors embellishment set and a color instructional brochure. I added basic buttons, crystal blue waxy flax, and twilight maker to the kit.
I was able to get 6 12x12 layouts from this kit along with 12 cards and I still have a few papers leftover and lots of embellishments to use on additional projects.
One change I did make to the instructions in order to make the paper go further so I could get the 2 additional layouts and all of the cards from the kit; I added blank bulk cards and built all of the cards from that.
I am frugal as well as lazy so instead of sewing on the cards and layouts like the instructions called for I used the Twilight marker to make the stitching , that saved me time and money, I now have lots of waxy flax to use on additional projects. I didn't have enough brown and tan buttons to do all of the work so I did buy them but again I have lots leftover for later.

And of course I can use the stamp set over and over.
You have 3 ways to purchase this kit, but you will have to contact me, at this time it can not be ordered at the on line store, hopefully Corp will add that next quarter.

Basic kit - $29.95 plus shipping and tax
Better kit - $35.95 plus shipping and tax, includes; enough extras to do everything
Best kit - $ 44.85 plush shipping and tax, includes; full packs of all the extras
I also used Coco and Twilight stamp pads
