Firday and Saturday

What a difference a day makes, the temp on Thursday was 67 degree's, Friday the snow began, by Saturday morning we had 6 inches with temps in the 20's!! So we have been snowed in since Friday night and lovin it!! Bob did venture out this morning to check the main roads, we needed to let the kids know if Sunday dinner was on, so looks like I will be cooking an early dinner so everyone can make it back home before sundown and the roads refreeze.
I used CTMH's new level 1 kit on the first layout "Veranda" Love, love, love this paper, can't wait to use it on more layouts. The second layout is using "perfect day" another one of my very favorites. Will post a bit more later today and one more layout to finish the MONTH of layouts!!

Thursday

The weather was beautiful in NC today, Tyler and I spent most of the day outside so I had to squeeze in a layout during nap time; again I worked with a level 1 kit " Magic Moments", the photo's are of our oldest daughter Heather at 4 years old, Heather will be 33 this year so as you can see I really am digging in my past stash of photo's.
For reasons unknown to me this layout posted in the correct orientation, go figure, I take pictures of the layouts and post them the same each time, blogging for me is a bit of a crap shoot!

Are you ready for more?

Still working on layouts, decided to take a lunch break and up date my blog. I have continued to work with level 1 kits this morning because as I said earlier, they are fast, simple and economical. I used CTMH new Top Stitched level 1 kit for this layout of our youngest daughter and her best friend in high school.

Early Morning Pages

Woke up with a wicked headache this morning took some meds and decided to try and lose myself in the room of sin. Still have the headache but I am distracting myself with scrapbooking!! This layout is done using the new kaboodle level 1 kit.
I have been working with lots of level 1 kits this month for many reasons, they are fast, simple, easy, and affordable!! I imagine many of you are in the same financial boat as I am this time of the year, we somehow survived the holiday season, have a few bill stacked in the desk to finish paying off our Christmas gift giving and are experiencing larger than normal heating bills.
I am attempting to provide you with inspiration to get some scrapbooking done while we are all hunkered down for the winter and affordable ways to accomplish layouts without breaking the bank. You can view CTMH level 1 kits on my website, keep in mind the price for these kits are $9.95, I always end up getting 6 layout from the kits with enough leftover to make a few cards, you can't beat that for value!!

Tuesday with Tyler

My oh my, scrapbooking with a 3 year old is not easy!! Tyler loves to play with me in the scraproom but I have a heck of a time keeping him our of the ink pads, would mind if I didn't have new wall to wall carpet. Only got one layout done today but I am happy I could even get this much done!!!! I used our new Caboodle level 1 kit, you can check it out on my CTMH website.

Mojo Monday

Monday was a day full of dusting, vacuuming, mopping and lots of odds and ends, but I was able to get in the scraproom for a few hours. I am still digging around in my photo albums of our girls, having lots of fun looking back.

One thing I have noticed is how very faded they have all become, I normally match the pictures to the paper but in the case of these pictures they seem to have a yellow/orange tint to them. I could use all my fancy dancy photo editing software and Dr. them up but it is important to me to use the originals no matter what state they are in. With that being said when you see many of these layouts you will notice they don't really coordinate that well due to the condition of the pictures, I am OK with that!

Engagment party

This is the last for this week, total so far in January is 76 layouts done, not bad for the month!! Today is a bit of house cleaning in the studio and organizing for next week as well as lots of journaling so I can get all the layouts in albums

Aunt Lucilles

Dress up 1980

Greatest Son In Law

Lots of layouts

Well I didn't fall off the face of the earth but I have had a time getting my layouts posted, finally today I will be bombarding you with what I have accomplished.
I have been super busy doing some deep winter cleaning along with a pulled muscle or something in my back, more than likely due to to much deep cleaning!! This past week I used level 1 layouts all week long, they are fast, easy and, simple just what I needed for a week jammed full of real life.

layout updates

I knew it would be a real challenge to get a layout a day done this week and I was right! However using CTMH level 1 kits I was able to still keep up with my commitment. These kits are only $9.95 and come with everything you need to do 4 layouts, including stickease with a sample layout on the back of each to get you started.
On the layouts this week I am continuing to focus on photo's of my girls when they were little ones.
The 2 page layout is of Amber and Uncle fritz from 1983 using Twitterpatted level 1 kit, the other 2 layouts are of Heather on her 6th birthday party also from 1983 using Tinkerin level 1 kit.
I am working on today's layouts but an not quite finished yet, I wanted to get caught up on some posts so stay tuned more to come later today

RECOUNT!!

When putting my layouts away yesterday I ran into an additional pile, so the grand total for last week was 51 pages!!!! I have lots on my plate this week so I won't come close to that many this week, however yesterday I was able to get 4 pages done along with countless gotta do's and still got supper on the table, wheee, I need a nap, but instead I am headed back to the room of sin to see what I can accomplish. Tyler is here today so I will be lucky to much done!!
One last thing the 2 layouts here are both done with leftovers from CTMH kits, Kelli is done using Tickled Pink and the snow layout, that I turn the wrong way (ugh) is done with leftovers from an Aspen level 1 kit, I just added a few embellishments I had on my clip it up

Sunday wrap up

I got behind yesterday and didn't have time to post, so here is Sunday's layout and a recap of the week.

Total layouts done 31, wooohooo, that is a lot, total supplies used up, not nearly enough.

I am not sure I will be able to keep up the pace of last week and that's OK, my goal was a layout a day for 30 days so I am off to a good start.

Family was over yesterday for Sunday dinner and I placed the pile of layouts on the table for the kids to look at if they wanted, now keep in mind my girls don't scrapbook and they think I am a little out of my mind with all the scrapbooking that I do.

All 3 girls looked at all of the layouts, each and every one!! I was so excited to see their reactions to their own pictures and that of their sisters, it made all the hard work of the week so worth it to know while they want me to stay far away from them with an adhesive runner they really do appreciate what I do for them and future generations

Sorry about layouts posting on the side, I have tried eberything I know to keep it from happining but the blogg has a mind of it's own

One more from Friday

The last layout for Friday is using the new Felicity kit, I keep promising myself I will save the rest of the paper for cards but end up using them on layouts. Oh well, I need to place an additional order this month for some of the new stamp sets in the Spring cattie so I will be able to get an additional Felicity set for FREE!!
I have had many of you ask what I am using to do titles on my layouts, I use the Cricut and for the most part the Plantion Schoolbook cartridge, I have lots of others but I am always drawn back to this one, I also like to use the shadow feature on the Cricut to make the title pop a little

Friday Layouts

Still digging around in old photo's and supplies, even pulled out the revolution today, i need to use my tools more often, lord knows I have plenty

Thursday layout

Sorry I forgot to post yesterday, I had Tyler and was only able to compete one page, busy getting ready for the Bama game and it slipped my mind! I used more of the felicity paper and the stamp set on this layout and still have lots more to use up. This kit is only available in the month of January so don't forget to place your order!! With a $60.00 purchase of stamps you can receive it free.
This layout is of our middle daughter eating her first piece of corn on the cob in 1983, the event wasn't anything special but the expressions she had on her face are priceless, it is so fun to see that the expressions our girls had back then are much the same as today

Scrapbook Kits

While digging around this morning I hit the Mother load!! I had purchased several scrapbook kits a year or so ago and spent a few days putting them together but never got around to getting the pictures on the layouts. The truth is I had forgotten I even had them, all I needed to do today was find the pictures I wanted to use, mount and go. Getting layouts of our girls scrapped are bringing back sweet warm memories perfect for these cold winter days.

Tuesday layout

Forgot to post this layout yesterday, I have Tyler on Tuesday and Thursday so I can get very little done in the studio or any where else!! He keeps me busy.

This Layout is of Bob and Heather at the park when we lived in Pryor OK back in 1979, wow it is hard to believe my girls are all grown up now. I am still pulling from my overflowing stash but haven't really made much of a dent, gotta keep plugging away.

Oldies but Goodies

I have been working from Heathers photo album again today, I love my photo album system, it makes it EZ to flip through old pictures, when I see something that inspires me I can grab and go. Today's pictures are from the late 70's early 80's.

I have to get the studio cleaned up, I try to clean as I go but today I was messier than usual. Stay tuned, more tomorrow!!

More from Sunday

I will try and keep CTMH products separate from all the other layouts I will be doing this month, this layout is from a level 1 "Aspen kit" which is still available, I have enough leftovers to do at least 2 more layouts but that will have to be for another day. This layout is of our oldest daughter Heather once again, we were living in a little bitty apt. in Marcus Hook Delaware in 1982, she was so excited to get to play in her first snow of the season.

Sunday Scrapin

Have had a very productive day, so far 4 layouts done, total of 8 pages, hot dog I am on a roll. I'm not sure I will get anything else done today, it is time to clean up and put a few page kits together so I can rock and roll on Monday bright and early. Today's layouts were all about our oldest daughter Heather on her 2nd Christmas in 1978, also did Tyler's Easter layout from this past year. A little old and a little new, pretty good day.

New spring cattie!!!!

Here is one of our new level 1 kits from the spring cattie "YOU ROCK", the colors are great! Bright and vibrant, perfect for party photo's, boys pages and of course rock band pictures. While the paper will be new to you guys it has been setting in my studio just waiting to be played with since the first week in December and the pictures are from Amber's graduation party 10 years ago so that counts as one more layout for my January challenge

I love, love love CTMH level 1 kits, every thing you need to complete 4 layouts are included, and there is even a sample layout guide on the back of the stickease to make it fast, simple and fun. If you haven't tried one of the level 1 kits check them out at my on line store only 9.95 for the whole shebang. I was able to put the layouts together in less than an hour and have enough paper and stickers leftover to do an additional layout and a few cards. I am on a roll today, hope to get even more done in the afternoon while watching a few Bowl games.

Ten years ago....

UGH!!!!! I have messed with this layout long enough, no matter which way I turn it the silly blogger flips it wrong so this will have to do. Amber has her 10 year class reunion coming up this year, wow! Our girls are getting old, glad Bob and I have figured out a way to stay the same age!

Using it up!

I have been working on using it up and giving some older photo's a little love. The layouts here are from 2 years ago but I fingure that counts for old photo's right? Found the paper and remembered I have pictures from the lake the first weekend we went tubing, perfect match!! Yepee skippy. Do you ever do one page layout? It's OK you know, sometimes one page is all you need to tell the story.
